Keala counsels clients on obtaining, licensing and enforcing patents. She has previously represented some of the largest tech companies in the world, including Google, Qualcomm, IBM and Samsung. She has litigated in Federal Court and at the International Trade Commission and worked on major acquisitions involving IP transactions. She now focuses on patent prosecution for tech startups, particularly in the fields of medical devices and consumer products. She is passionate about helping clients build a strategic portfolio that becomes the cornerstone for growth.
Keala is a 2009 graduate of New York University School of Law, and she received her bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and masters in Applied Mathematics from UCLA. Before founding Chan Hubbard, she worked as an associate at the premier global litigation firm, Quinn Emanuel.
